Illinois State Director - Karyn Quick

Soror Karyn Quick is the first elected state director for Illinois. She has held various elected and appointed positions in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, including regional secretary, chapter president and chair of Sisterhood Connections. She has served in two regions, the Mighty Southern Region and now in the Greater Great Lakes Region. Soror Quick became a Zeta 28 years ago at her alma mater, Jackson State University, in Jackson, Mississippi. She is currently a member of Sigma Phi Zeta Chapter in Waukegan, Illinois.
Outside Zeta, Soror Quick serves on the board for Chocolate Chips, a S.T.E.A.M program for young minority girls, as the IT Director. Professionally, she has worked in IT for 20-plus years. She is director of IT quality and compliance for AbbVie Pharmaceuticals. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Jackson State University, and a master’s degree in business from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Indiana State Director - Londra Dufor

Soror Londra Dufor is the first elected state director for the state of Indiana. She is from Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from the city’s Wayne High School. She has held many positions in her chapter, Iota Zeta, in Indianapolis, Indiana, from president to chairwoman of various committees. Soror Dufor became a member of Zeta in her senior year at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, through Delta Epsilon Chapter. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and African American Studies.
Later, Soror Dufor worked in sales for over 20 years, then made an industry change and has been a supervisor for a social services company doing social work for the last five years. She is a worship leader for multiple ministries and loves the Lord. Soror Dufor says she is excited for the opportunity to lead the Indiana State Organization and to assist Zeta Phi Beta International President & CEO Dr. Stacie NC Grant’s plans for our great sisterhood.
Kentucky State Director - Dr. Ebony S. Muldrow

Dr. Ebony S. Muldrow, an accomplished strategist and owner of Emergent Strategies, LLC became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. through Omega Delta at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY, in Spring 1995. Since her induction, Dr. Muldrow has served Zeta at the undergraduate, graduate, and state levels. Prior to being elected as the 16th Kentucky State Director, Dr. Muldrow is the Immediate Past Kentucky State Chair of the Executive Board and Basileus of the Beta Alpha Xi Zeta Chapter in Louisville, Kentucky (2020-2024).
Dr. Muldrow’s expansive professional experience spans multiple disciplines which include organizational behavior, training and development, human resources, supplier diversity, curriculum development and teaching at the collegiate level. As a small business owner and consultant, Dr. Muldrow has a wealth of experience leading and developing high-performing teams, strategic planning, succession planning, and devising custom strategies and workshops to meet client needs. Educationally, Dr. Muldrow holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, an MBA, a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development, and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership.
In addition to her work in Zeta, Dr. Muldrow is the mother of three adult children, is active in her church and community, and has served on several commissions and board of directors. During her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, cycling, and traveling.
Michigan State Director - Lynese Thomas

Soror Lynese Thomas reached 25 years of active financial membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in 2022. She was initiated on Sept. 13, 1997. A graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in English, she earned a master’s of business administration in 2004. Professionally, Soror Thomas has worked in the health insurance industry for the past 22 years, currently as a senior management engineer. She and her husband, Bro. Melvin Thomas Jr., of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, have two beautiful children, Melvin III and Melanie. Soror Thomas was initially an appointed state director in July 2020. On Sept. 24, 2022, she became the first Zeta to be elected state director in the Great Lakes Region.
At the time of her appointment, Soror Thomas was Great Lakes Region Nominations Chair, elected in 2019. She was Michigan’s Basileus of the Year in 2017, and Zeta of the Year in 2013 for her chapter, Zeta Nu Zeta, in Inkster, Michigan. She served as president of her chapter (2014 to 2018), first vice president (2011-2014), corresponding secretary (2008-2010) and secretary (2003-2007). Her state roles include Nominations and Elections Chair (2015-2017) and corresponding secretary (2009-2011). Soror Thomas is a 2018 graduate of the Zeta Organizational Leadership Program, Cohort 7. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling and reading, and is active in her church’s nurse’s ministry.
Minnesota State Director - Keisha Mitchell

Soror Keisha Mitchell was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. After graduating from Calumet High School, where she was on the track and field, basketball and volleyball teams, she attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. There, she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in Spring 1998 through Epsilon Kappa Chapter, and received her Bachelor of Science from Purdue’s School of Technology. She currently holds membership in Iota Zeta Zeta Chapter in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Soror Mitchell has served faithfully on the local, state and regional levels. She has the honor of being Minnesota’s first elected state director.
Most recently, she served as Great Lakes Regional scholarship chair and co-chair, board chair of the Minnesota State Organization, and, at the chapter level, as president, first vice president and treasurer. Professionally, she has served in a leadership role for Ameriprise (Fortune 500 company) and is now the program manager of the African American Babies Coalition and Projects at the Wilder Foundation. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Aaron, and her family, listening to music, reading and traveling.
Ohio State Director - Patricia E. Jones

Patricia Jones, LSW retired social worker, has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for 45 years. She is a graduate of Western Illinois University-Omicron Kappa Chapter. Ms. Jones has been an elected officer on local, State, Regional and National levels. Currently, she is the Ohio State Director, an appointed officer to the NEF Coordinator for the State, National Director of Logistic, and a National appointed officer to the National Educational Board of Managers. Her journey on NEF is to continue to see progressive and positive changes in getting the important message that NEF is trying to convey to the sisterhood as well as the community and partners.
Ms. Jones is a worker for the sorority and can be send working at any regional conference in Zeta’s 7 Regions. She has been to all 7 regional conference over 20 time and is often asked don’t you belong to my region? She proudly says no I belong to the Greater-Great Lakes Region! She has been a workshop presenter in a lot of the regions and states inside the region and outside the region.
In her present position as State Director, she plans to be dedicated, innovative and motivated to continue the upward trajectory of moving the state as one of the top states in the region as well as rivaling the other States in Zeta as a whole by strengthening the infrastructure of the State. The State will continue to emphasize the social, health & Economic of the “Power of S.H.E”.
Life outside Zeta, she is the Senior Supervisor for Playhouse Square, which is the 2nd largest theater in the country. Here she is head of security and supervises security staff and their deployments. She is also a past president of NPHC-GR where a lot of first were created and still exist to this day. She also works for another security company that has sent her to several Superbowl’s as well as NFL draft.
Ms. Jones biggest message is that she would like to convey is…to really know Zeta you must get out of the house (Chapter). Go out and visit other chapters, states and regional conferences and make some forever friends.
Wisconsin State Director - Toya Griffin

Soror Toya Griffin is the first elected state director in Wisconsin. For the past 27 years, she has served Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated with zeal in elected and appointed leadership positions. She has been board chair of the Wisconsin State Organization, and president, first vice president and financial secretary for her chapter, Kappa Beta Zeta, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She has also served as Stork’s Nest Director for the state of Wisconsin and the Stork’s Nest Chair for her chapter. She has raised over $30,000 for Stork’s Nest, plus opened an additional Stork’s Nest, reactivated a chapter and started a sunshine committee.
Professionally, Soror Griffin serves as the senior director of academics for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and oversees all of the health and wellness programs for over 50 sites. She holds a license in elementary and middle school education, as well as K-12 health licenses. She also has a master’s degree in education with an emphasis on professional development, and a certificate in school management and leadership from Harvard University.
